Compassion Circle is dedicated to creating awareness and expanding compassion toward all beings with whom we share this planet.

Compassion Circle is the home of the Rat Refuge and the Fish Refuge, peaceful sanctuaries for rescued rats and fishes. 100% of proceeds from our sales help fund our efforts on behalf of animals and pay our staff a living wage.

Our long-term goal is to provide cruelty-free food, free of charge, to animal shelters nationwide, thereby expanding the circle of compassion to all animals and helping no-kill shelters to become truly no-kill – not just for the animals in the shelter.

We are dedicated to helping you provide your loved ones with nutritionally complete food of the highest quality.

Founder Kim Sheridan is the author of the award-winning book Animals and the Afterlife. She is also the founder of EnLighthouse Entertainment and Earth Fairy™ Films. Throughout her life, Kim has been involved in the rescue of many animals, including cats, dogs, rats, birds, and fishes. She is continually touched by the sentience of all of them, including the fishes! She is the caretaker of both the Rat Refuge and the Fish Refuge. She is also the founder of both Healthy Chick® and Healthy Hunk™, empowering people to take charge of their health and to adopt an eco-friendly and compassionate lifestyle. She has been listed in 2,000 Notable American Women, Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals, and Great Minds of the 21st Century.

Ashley Bass is our Operations Manager and the person you'll be hearing from regarding your orders and inquiries. Ashley loves to hear from you and hear how well your animals are doing; don't hesitate to get in touch!

When not working, Ashley's time is devoted to her awesome 10-year old son, Orion, and visiting the beach as much as possible. She is looking forward to one day moving out of the city to welcome a pack of large, rescued, vegan lap dogs into the family.
