Rice & Soybeans for Puppies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked white or brown rice Use plenty of water so rice is soft.
  • 1/2 cup dry soybeans (75g) Soak and cook to achieve roughly 1-1/4 cups cooked.
  • 2 tbsp VegeYeast or nutritional yeast (18g)
  • 1/2 tbsp hemp hearts (shelled hemp seeds) You can substitute 1/4 tsp of flaxseed or algae oil.
  • 1-1/2 tsp soy sauce OR a lean 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 to 2-1/2 tsp Vegepup (11g)

Notes

Soak soybeans overnight. Change the water before cooking. Use 3 cups of cooking water for every one cup of soaked, uncooked beans. Simmer for 3 hours or until beans are tender.
Follow package directions to cook rice using a little more water than suggested to ensure rice is soft.
