The Vegedog™ supplement is intended for use with Vegedog™ recipes or recipes closely based on our ours. Do not add the Vegedog™ supplement to commercial food. You may feed both commercial and home-prepared food but you should only add the Vegedog™ supplement to the home-prepared portion of the diet, reducing the daily serving size accordingly. Please read the introductory portion of the recipe brochure thoroughly before preparing meals. Recipes list the amount of supplement required for that recipe. You may increase or decrease the amount of food you prepare by proportionally increasing or decreasing all ingredients in the recipe. If you create your own recipes, closely based on ours, divide the daily serving size between meals. It is best to mix the supplement into prepared warm food. If you modify our recipes, substitute legumes for legumes or grains for grains and be mindful of the protein content in your dog’s diet. You can add a variety of fresh vegetables to our recipes, but they should not make up more than 10% of the diet.
All recipes include food yeast for B vitamins. We highly recommend using our VegeYeast, a brewer’s yeast modified for acidity. Specific oil and flax ingredients in recipes ensure your animal companion is getting their required Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) in the correct ratio.
